kick ass vid Adam!
I have two questions:
1). Do you even need ambient wind if you are kiting and being filmed by heli?
2). Did you guys ever accidentally blast kiters good with your prop wash?
It scares the crap out of me when I'm flying paragliders at the coast and I see those big coast guard helicopters come cruising by low. I'm waiting for the day when they decide to buzz me too close and send me on mr toady's wild ride.

Beginning of that video almost had me shedding a tear. He makes it look easy.
There was a shot of him ridding in boots for a second, was there more footage of that?

Kraemer - Just a bit further south, northwest of Key West!
Steve - Our heli pilot, Mike, (who's good friends of Neil Hutchinson) had shot kiting before, and so had a good idea of how close we could get. We did have to back off a couple times while flying low and just upwind of Youri because the heli was stealing his air. Still, I was most worried when Youri looped directly at us as we sat in a hover downwind...
Mike - Lance was shooting stills and I was doing video!
Forrest - Are you talking about this vid? Youri wasn't riding boots. He's just got the normal pads/straps on his Brunotti pro model.

The coolest thing: custom track by Amery & Co. Nice touch of professionalism.

mmmm...
I don't even know what I'd do for some boardshorts weather right now.
Good work! That title screen was sweet.
Next time you should say that you have a fear of helicopters and I'm you therapist and I need to be there to help you through it.
Good job Amery and Kyle!
When's Kyle gonna step up and get behind a kite?!?!

As you can see from Lance's pic (that I look retarded in), it's just a little Sony SR11. Nothing special, but it gets the job done and was easy to take on the heli.
