Since nwweather.com is gone, any suggestions on what I should link the "Forecast" link (in the header) to? ideally I'd like it to be something unique and useful to NW kiteboarders.

MikeS has a super cool Marine Forecast tool:
http://nwwind.net/dayfcst.php?state=or

It'd be nice to have something that covered the whole region though. Maybe a whole page dedicated to forecast resources? Or is there one that covers everything?

It's not super localized, but this link gives the wx-geek version of the regional overview and the price is right. Use the left navigation to slow the loop down to human speeds.

Without George we're screwed. Might as well link it to a magic 8-ball.

I am sorry I have not posted anything on nwkite since I made my decision. Everyone here has been really supportive of nw weather and I really appreciate that. This move to iWindsurf is good for me and I hope to help improve the service they offer which hopefully will help most of you as well!

The link posted to the MM5 above is a good one. I look at that sea level pressure model every day. For the gorge, pay more attention to the gradient than the wind barbs. The coast wind barbs and gradients are usually more in sync.

Feel free to email any time at gmclean@gorge.net with any comments on wind forecasting.

George

Magicseaweed.com is good for the coast, but unfortunately doesn't have anything for the gorge, as it's a surfing site. But the detailed section is cool and seems to be very accurate compared to most other sites, or so I've been informed. I usually go there and ikitesurf as well as weatherunderground.com to compare all the forecasts.

This site is pretty cool, mostly benefits us ocean riders though.

I tried to compile a list of the resources I have found most useful and some knowledge (maybe too much? Don't want to give it all away...) Let me know what you guys think.
