report from SPI. ya the event is coming together. the slider event is going to be huge with a grinch winch event for the no wind day(s). some sliders are underway while others are still in the designing stage. if anyone has any tips pm me. the beach is huge, flat, and just far enough away from town that no choads will be showing up. the town is chill and unlike most texas towns. there is plenty for everyone (early to bedders and all nighters.) shane will be announcing along side neil hutchinson. the event will be chill. busy days for sure as there is a lot to do, however the "rush" feeling won't be there. less about "comps", more about everyone having a good time. ya all in all a great way to start off summer '09.

| so the freestyle event will be mixed with the slider event. it will be judged similar to the triple S in that the event will be all day, no heats, and the judging will be voted on by the riders, camera people, and spectators. there will be a masters and girls division if theres enough riders to make it interesting. this will be the headlining event and the prize is going to be sweet. so sweet in fact that i can't even tell you yet. soon, but not yet. |
