No offense to any of the riders in "Boots Biotch", they are a lot better than I. Just because you wear boots doesn't make it wakestyle, you also have to keep your kite low. It's arguably more important to keep it low than it is to wear boots. Boots just help you harness the power of keeping you kite low.

What is with the Texas flag at the beginning of the Kevin vid? Is he from Texas?

Seriously, we need to get a crew trip planned to Chile. Chile in 2011?

which do you think is harder..
A. stomping some of the moves in the video
OR
B. getting the wakestyle police to approve that you actually stomped the moves?

I am not one to pick fights but the video says "Boots Biotch" not "I am looking for approval from the Wake Police". If it was a wake video maybe it is lame but its a pretty good kite video.

I think The flag is the Chile National Flag.

I hope someone is bringing a cop uniform and badge to the party for me. I'll bring my dangler baton. Razz

First of all, I ride both boots and straps and strapless, and sitting down, kneeling, squatting, whatever...

I was just clarifying on what boots are for... It's not just so you'll get noticed, and it's not about boots in the first place. Boots are a tool, not a seperating factor. It is misleading to make a video about boots, and not really showcase the whole point of them. It's just a bunch of guys saying "hey look at me, I ride boots, I'm cool".

I clarified this on the kitescoop as well when it was posted there, so don't think I'm only saying this to you guys.

BTW, Looks like the PKRA is going to split into a progressive freestyle and regular freestyle now. They're splitting up their rules so two separate competitions can be had. Current PKRA rules don't allow proper points to be awarded for people keeping their kite low. It's not to say one style is better than the other, it's just possible justification that I'm not the only one with these views.

Yea man, I counted almost 1/2 of his landings as buttchecks... Those one handed doohickeys he's doing are sweet though.

This rider is in clear violation of the keeping the kite low ordinace. Therefore, the public will not ackowledge that he landed the aformentioned KGB. The video evidence is hereby stricken from the record.
Any comments or suggestions germain to the ability of the rider in question will not include reference to said video until said time that the PKRA or its official representatives formally adopt poilcy in regards to the force vectors experienced by riders keeping their kites low.

thank you.

I would argue that the riding types of Kevin and Andy are the same, and therefore it is relevant.

Dude you can justify being negative about other riders all you want. But what I am a bit over is constant negativity based on a point of view. I could sit hear and say none of the wake style riders are really kiters at all and they should all just buy boats and wakeboard. If you are going to not use the kite just ride behind a boat. (Just an example)

But why? I dig the low kite riding and appreciate the difficulty of it. I understand that there are lots of different styles and I can appreciate all of them.

Every time someone rides, post pictures or posts videos do not need to be trash bashing of their style and why you don't approve of their riding.

Lets get over the negative bull@#$. I don't think I am the only one over it.

Was gapping the buggy lame to. I just want to see if it was cool enough to post. Maybe not!

That's it!

I hear where you're coming from, but you might wanna re-read my posts. I wasn't being negative.

EDIT: Alright, I am a little negative, but I think it was warranted in this case. You got a bunch of the sports elite, claiming something and but not following through. yea, I get tired of sounding the same old horn, and I'm sorry I hijacked your thread, but no one gets special treatment from me and I don't expect to get special treatment either. It's one of the best things about being a consumer of kiting products and not involved in the industry.
