Sun Valley Shuttle Express ( 1-877 622-8267)
2:45 departure from the Boise Airport to Fairfield Prairie Inn (Thur, Friday & Saturday)

1 way charge is $75. Obviously a ridiculous charge but if your in a bind and need to connect the dots then maybe this works. Do not book in advance, no refund for canceled trips, only a future voucher credit. You can book on the spot. Only shuttle returning to Boise on Sunday returns through Fairfield is at 10:00 AM. (too early and you'll miss an epic kite day) There will be a strong showing of Boise Kiters at the event. I'm sure anyone looking for rides back to Boise will not have a problem.

Coming in Friday @8:30 AM. I think I have a ride down with windflow and ghostrider from pskite. Coming back Sunday morning is still up in the air. There don't seem to be any rental car companies in Fairfield.

Wanted to update those of you who are on the fence and thinking about coming to Idaho for this weeks event. Conditions have been epic. Snowing hard right now. Sunshine, powder and good wind is the forecast for the week ahead. Look forward to seeing all of you this week. Looks like a solid showing.

Depends on your size. I weigh a 190 pounds. My gear adds a lot of weight. I use a 9/10 on low end and a 14 on the high end and everything between. My 12 meter is my butter kite.

PostTue Feb 17, 09 9:06 pm    Prairie Mountain Inn Room available Reply with quote

Hi guys. A room at the Prairie Inn just opened up, the last one left. If your riding in the event and need a place to stay, send me a message and I'll coordinate with you.

I talked with the owners of the Prairie Inn today. They are a very proud Idaho couple and honesty goes a LOOOONG way with these folk. If your piling people into one of these rooms, please be honest with them and pay the extra person charge of $10.

Room is under Gary Reed... just call the Prairie Inn and ask for the room:
Phone: 208.764.2247

Top day of the year yesterday. Winds out of the Northwest at 18-22. Fresh tracks for miles and blue sky. Couldn't ask for more. I'm headed out today. Forecast for the 3 day weekend ahead looks solid. More sun, more wind. See you tonight at Soldier Creek Brewery!

If any one is still looking for a room I have a "Single Queen with a sleeper sofa" booked at the Prairie Inn. Split between two people now, but If some one wants to pitch in on room cost they're welcome to crash.
