| My gf and I stayed over on HRM most of the day... Around 2:15 we cut back to Mt. Hood Express, waited in line forever, then took Ridge Run/Buttercup out (since I was parked 5 rows from the back) and I saw it just as we passed Cascade's terminal. |

Meadows is like the USPS. You either love them or hate them. They seem to be late adopters to everything, and then make the same mistakes other resorts did because they don't do their home work. I also don't think they care. They have cornered the market. _________________ MS |

Hein, I ride jib boards that have 2.5 degree bevel off the base, plus I also round my edges over. I keep a completely different board for sessioning rails than the board I ride regularly in the park and just take two boards to the mountain. I think with skis its more about keeping you skis at an angle to the rail, but I dunno, never skied.
Meadows has high demand. My opinion is that they need to raise their season pass prices to be more inline with other resorts, and use that revenue to drastically improve the experience of their users. |

Season pass prices are mainly high on mountains that have a monopoly on the surrounding area like Bachelor. South Lake Tahoe, Colorado, and probably other places with many mountains near each other have season passes priced similar to Meadows or even cheaper. _________________ The Slider Project, LLC

| yeah, I think the biggest thing as they really don't give two shits about what you think. If you live in portland or HR, where else are you going to go? Ski hole? |

after sooo many years of the same dumb stuff that they do, i have had enough.
several people said it on here--"meadows just doesn't care what people think"
and it is true, they still have 10000 people ready to throw down for a pass
i still go there on occasion(and like hein said --it is what you make it) but i don't count on it as my main winter riding addiction fix anymore, or give them much more of my money---they don't deserve it.
as a consumer i am not going to keep giving someone my money if they give me crappy service time and time again
if the snow level is low ski bowl has the best terrain on the mountain, by far
and hardly anyone rides the goods there
i choose the hole over ghettos anytime it is good |

Yeah, I just don't board that much anymore because I'm pretty much over Meadows and can't tolerate the slow lifts at ski bowl. Its nice to be infected by stoke from the likes of Kramer and company but when I show up and upper heather is closed and they come drag me away when I am hiking up to super bowl, its hard to stay jazzed.
If only we lived closer to Bachelor. Now THAT is the shit over there. Wide open bowls with no damn groomers and seriously steep pitches with a proper amount of trees with good spacing. Man I love that place. it gets hella windy, but it is still the best resort in oregon by a long shot. |

Bachelor has some decent steep cruising in the trees, but doesn't have anything steep enough to be a solid powder mountain. The only double black is on the summit, which hardly ever opens in the winter. If you want the goods you're better of heading to Washington than Bachelor terrain wise. _________________ The Slider Project, LLC
