That was badass rolling up to the park in town yesterday and seeing the winch setup!

Looked like much more fun instantly than than the fickle H hole.. at least judging by how hard Aaron was working to keep his 13 in the air.

Today better though.. less snow (blew off a bit) but much more and stronger wind. Sessioned the Honey Hole solo for about hour and a half- 2 hours mid afternoon on a 12m Havoc. Not much coverage... definitely requires (or creates) a 'Rock Board' but fun no less.

Good to be back on the snow with a kite!! Even if all we have is scraps here. Almost time to load up and head to ID / UT.

I think Island Pard has an event going off this coming weekend. Anyone going?

It was awesome to see everyone sessioning the first storm of the year. I heard of a crew hitting Convoy Lake up by Trout lake and Cory Roesler rode with his son at the radio tower in the east hills.

Where is the radio tower you're talking about?
I think we definitely have to keep pushing to find some legit snow kite spots. I'm going try some places over xmas break. Ill definitely post pics.

Brave Dave got a session yesterday in trout Lake so I heard, tekko scored the honey hole solo, saw him on the road as I went up for afternoon session, short and sweet. Every body should own a winch!! Unreal fun, even if that was all I rode. next time!1

Boise/Fairfield area is only 7 hours or so from HR (quite a bit closer than Island Park). That could be a sick trip. Might be kinda annoying drive unless the roads are relatively clear though. I'd be down to do a snowkiting trip for a few days when the conditions look right, especially if it's midweek.

Monty's right...but marginal is putting it mildly. There's 7 or so inches out there--needs 2-3 feet to be legit.

With this week's storm (hopefully not weak) the Camas should be rockin' by X-mas at the latest. It's a ways but worth it when the snow is deep and the wind is flowin'

We got a good session in High Prarie. About a foot of snow and 15 knot east winds. Probably the best session I have had in a few years. A good spot to check out. Endless setups for east and west winds.

Did you kite High Prairie today?

I had a real nice session there last year on a west wind but didn't think it would get easterlies.

The best thing about the wheat fields is they don't need much coverage and they have fun little slopes.

Not I, I've been in my basement all day.

Getting ready to head out to Jackson Park in Hood River to session the picnic tables though! We have a bunch of flood lights.

so i think tomorrow we are going to head up to the laurance lake spot and try to snowkite. anybody else down to go?

NWS is calling for 14 - 18mph winds from the north / northeast, seems like that is probably going to be the best direction for this spot.
