Don't think so. Gradient flips to light west by noon.

Tomorrow looks sunny and should crank from the East. Cold as hell, but I guess you gotta try it anyway ha? Anyone interested in checking it out? Might need a backup spot in case Rooster is nuked out.

Hey Adam!

The forecast was looking good this morning, but the wind has dropped off. Pressure differential is still decent, but dropping. I'm thinking it's a bust today. If it picks back up I'm in, but probably won't happen. Rooster almost never comes back after it drops off.

Forecast links:

scroll down to WESTERN COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE-
INCLUDING THE CITIES OF...ROOSTER ROCK...CASCADE LOCKS...HOOD
RIVER...STEVENSON...CARSON...SKAMANIA

Almost any East wind forecast at Troutdale means East wind at Rooster. Rooster will be much stronger, usually, than the forecast at Troutdale.

Good link for current wind at Rooster:

http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=KWAWASHO9

When wind is increasing or steady, Rooster winds tend to be near or above the gust factor. When winds are on the decline, Rooster winds tend to be at the steady state value.

Gust factor at Corbett is a good indicator for Rooster. For Pressure differential Look at Portland - The Dalles.

Today is a day of rest... However, Wednesday and T-Day sound good to me. Water is getting cold. I got a new 5mm hoodie and 5 mm booties from Gorge Perf. That and two wetsuits had me steaming warm.

Gene Pm me and lets ride Wed.
