Barfly was killing it on the Fuel 9m (lit), I'm sure he'll have a great report.

I was sailing my 7M Rev for the first time and I really liked it. I never had the 7M in my '08 quiver and I am already stoked to have it for this year because it was a big confidence booster in the high winds. Granted, these were butter-smooth high winds, but the kite seemed to calm everything down.

I'm diggin my colors too, but my 7M and 9M are the same, so if anyone is interested in trading for a blue/black/white 9m brand new let me know quick!

Thumb's Up

Thanks Shy for the colors (I got blue/black/gold on the 9 and black/white/green/gold on the 11). I really like the 9m on its first voyage. I've never had a 9 and was stoked to ride it. It hits the sweet spot for sure. I was over-rigged on it at pkg lot D but really wanted to try it out. I had to go around to the river side and down to social security beach where the wind was lighter. It is very stable and maybe a bit higher aspect than the '07's and '08's (??) when laid out on the ground and deflated. When it was in the air, it seemed to look more full.

Relaunch was excellent and I couldn't tell the difference between relaunching it and the Revs and Turbos. Amazing for a c-kite.

Can't wait to take it out again.

Hey I saw you out on the river side of area D when I was over on that side, uh, foraging. The waters too damn cold for old people this time of year.

Isn't the current kinda nuts on the columbia side? It looked like it was moving at about a good 5-6mph out to sea. There were some sweet looking lefts up by the jetty on the river side tho...

yea, the 09 fuels are definately a little higher aspect, than the 07s. I unrolled my 7ms (07 & 09) out on top of each other, and the 07 center strut is a little longer, and the 09 has more length from wingtip to wingtip than the 07. I didn't really feel like getting out the 9ms, 11ms, or 13ms and laying htem down side by side, just to have to roll them back up again, but sick kites for sure! can't wait to get to ride them. so glad to hear all the happy reviews! I imagine the 7m and 9m will be the standout kites again this year!
