can be bigger but yeah, rarely gets above shoulder to head
on northerlies they are bigger but pretty messy and chaotic
the jetty has sick kickers that are super clean, good for tryin shit

| Does anybody know what the most cost effective way to get from Brownsville to SPI is? I'm flying in Tuesday and hoping to get something less than the $140 shuttle. Cheers!

I'll be checking out the lodging today. I would consider sharing a bigger place as long
as my wife and I can have some privacy. We are not party-every-night people and
will be doing most of our cooking and eating 'at home'. We'll be here for 2-4 weeks
depending on our whims.

How does $2. for a trip from the airport to SPI sound?
The Rio Transit bus leaves the Brownsville airport every hour from 5 in the AM to about 10 PM. This bus cost $2 and drops you off in Port Isabel, where you can get a free ride on the yellow bus (The Wave) to everywhere in SPI. The yellow bus stops every half hour at the bus stop where the Rio Transit drops you off.
Soooo...for all you cheapskates (like me), call l-800-574-8322 for the exact details on the schedule for the times the bus leaves Brownsville airport. The free yellow bus which takes you from Port Isabel to SPI only runs from about 7AM to 6PM. Call this number to get the schedule of the yellow bus: (956) 761-1025.
Let me know if you have any problems setting this up.
If you arrive too late to link up with the free yellow bus, you can take a taxi from Port Isabel over the causeway to SPI.

We checked in to Gulfview 1 and we're on the top floor.
Got a nice view of the jetty, the sunrise and even the sunset.
Big ass pool but out of the sun now and a bit chilly.
We are basically overlooking the water park where the
coyotes howl for a while in the evenings. OWWWuuuwww!
I've got 7.5 and 9.5 Generators if anyone want's a demo
I'm unloading these kites cheap. Got a couple boards to

Beautiful calm weather for now. The high that made LA
burn is blocking the pacific systems for now. But it is
breaking down and a front is on the way for the weekend.
On a sour note, Our dog Katie was killed by a neighbor's
dog yesterday. She was old and getting pretty feeble
but still quite a shock and we'll miss her. Our neighbor
is burying her in our field. Many of the Padre locals will
remember her since she has been with me many times
here in the past when I had my motorhome.
Lookling forward to some wind to help relieve the sorrow.
