Anyone have any advice? Going to Sayulita for a couple weeks, Mid-Nov. Flying in/out of Puerto Vallarta.. Should I take my kites?

Surfed there a few years ago, perfect left peeling swell. Wind was nonexistent the 3 days I was there (january 1-4)....but heard up north Punta del Burro had sick side-on conditions in the winter.
Beers and boards are cheap in Sayulita...$1 Pacifico's and $6 board rentals, bring the kites just in case.
Good luck.... |

| Bring at least a 12. I've been there 5 or 6 times, and wind is not common, but I have seen it blow 16-18 knots on occasion. I wouldn't try to kite the break at Sayulita, it would be dead on shore if it blew at the prevailing westerly. A few miles south around Pta. Mita, you would have side or slightly side on, and if a south swell was working it could be sick. |

| Your best bet in Sayulita is surfing. If you feel like driving about 30 minutes to Bucerias there is some kiting to be had there, I think the winds are best there in the spring. |

| Not likely to find wind there this time of year-surfing yes. Nice wind south in Bucerias April - May . the seabreeze comes up almost every day after lunch to about 12m. |
