Reed Island is nuking. I'm riding 7.5 but a 5 would be better. Pretty steady wind, but some pretty strong gusts come through occasionaly. Camas & Cttnwood 15-20 Camas may be lightening up a tad. Water temp is 48.

We did that yesterday out of Cottonwood. I was in the main channel today, across from the Corbet exit. Pretty nuclear, lots of fun swell. Very Happy It would have been nice to have a 5m along though...

Any place out there to ride 9m now? After white knuckles sesh yesterday afternoon on my 9m Clatsop ponds, I cannot decide, should I be scared to go out today, or should I get some more.

Always get more! Very Happy Corbett is still gusting to 35, so I'm guessing it's 35 or 40 at RR. Skamania is gusting to 35, another good indicator it's 35 at RR. Camas might be a bit light for a 9, hard to tell without going there. Cottonwood might be rideable on a 9... The further East you hike, the steadier the wind usually is.

looked up and down the beach for someone... anyone.... Naked or not! Finally flew it into somewhat of a windshadow behind a bunch of trees.

I was at BV from 11:30 -1:00 PM with Stevie P when it started to just howl. Our kites 5 and 5.5 were either full throttle or dropping out of the sky and we tried to get in quick when his powered up and the handle jerked out of his had taking some skin. Good thing sharks weren't in the water! Blood everywhere, bandaged it up at the cars and QUIT. These gusts lately are nasty.

That's about the only reason I like my 5 line kites nowadays.....pull the rip cord and watch the kite drop.

Rode at PDX yesterday and it was crazy winds can only imagine what RR was like.

Driving up to the beach, I thought the sand-storm wouldn't allow my 8m on short lines....Still pretty lit, but awesome! It's starting to get cold though!!

yeah, I wouldn't want to be standing where my kite was when gmans board came pinwheeling down the beach!! No big deal G, some tape and she's like new again Wink
