Talked with a buddy of mine at home in the Midwest who's going out this weekend on the Big Lake Michigan..
This is how big it can get in the off-season...from NOAA

Yeaa boyyyyyyyyyyy! With enough wind you get some good waves. I remember SPI last Nov when the 12ft wind generated swell rolled through (buoy reading). Smooth and fast as hell and real close together. Good times for sure! _________________ The Slider Project, LLC

Lake Erie is a complete washing machine mess when it gets big - at least my 'home' spot does.
