Yeah that surf there is crunchy for sure
The shore pound is gnarly!
It was fun (at least for a gorgey) watching josh try to get barreled in that stuff when it was blowing probably 30-40 and the visibility was like 50-80 yards.

Shore pound. Reed is in like 3" of water in this one

Wow stringer those are awesome shots! That fancy camera of yours does not quite show how wild it was.... A wind meter out there and there was reading 47 sustaining and 54 mph gusts..... My lense got fogged, but did get a few vids I will have to share... That session made the Len Storm Vid look like nothing compared to what they were throwing down.

After that session Holly even got stoked for some Kiteloop action! Make you want to try crazy stuff!

Again awesome shots!!

Bad news.....Mark just got back into Boston and found out that his portable hard drive with all the Floras lake footage is busted. It sounds like it is an issue with the USB and not the actual hard disk. So if anyone knows how he can recover the data off the portable hard drive that would be great. He has gotten a few quotes back east and they are trying to charge him $500-$2500 for the data recovery Evil or Very Mad

If the hard drive is still good, look in to picking up one of these at Frys.com

http://shop3.frys.com/product/5010555?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG

They're only $25 and will connect any hard drive to your computer through USB.

If you'd want, you could ship the drive to me and I'll pull everything off and ship the hard drive back with DVD's of your stuff.

I just want the pictures to keep coming...

cheers

That sounds like a great option! I'm going to a friends tomorrow to hook up the hard drive to a windows Vista pc, that was the last pc it was connected to, maybe vista did something weird to the drive so that win xp won't see it. If that doesn't work then this option is my next move. The drive powers up fine and I can hear it spinning fine, no clicking or anything so I'm hoping it's just a usb thing and not the hard drive itself. Rolling Eyes

It should be just fine. Have you tried a different USB cable? USB connectors can wear out after lots of use.
