Hey - Hope ya'll are gettin some. I'm bored as f*ck w/ the broken finger and all. Thought i'd post a few hastily taken pix for something to do. These shots are from LEO CARILLO. Wind is side off to side shore here. Nice and glassy waves on the inside, but the the wind is a little flukey on the inside. Good surfing too Twisted Evil - C

Hueneme beach - 200 yards from my house, but the wind is typically lighter here. All the 'foil' guys hang out here.

Leo Carillo is such a cool spot.
My brother and I used to go down there every year from 91 to 2001 and camp.
Surf is so fun there. And one of the only campgrounds at the beach that is fairly quiet and secluded from the rest of so cal.

I always wondered about kiting there.
Looks really good!

So Cal def. has a CHILL kite scene, but it's got absolutely NOTHING on Oregon. Man I wish I was up there right now kitin', hangin' & sippin' beers w/ the NWkite crew Mad .

Anyway- LEO CARILLO is at the most Northern part of Malibu, almost to the Ventura County line. Locals tell me Spring & Summer are the best w/ August having the most consistant wind. As the Santa Ana winds pick up - the focus shifts toward Ventura w/ 'C' street the stand out spot. At Leo Carillo, people usually ride 7m - 12m bow style kites and a surfboard. Maybe a 14 if you are using a twin tip.
It can get suprisingly windy Twisted Evil . Patients is key - wind picks up in the PM - kind of like Sauvie.

Locals think it's crowded here - I haven't seen it crowded yet Confused
