Darwin Award winner Kevin Kearney survives the ordeal and is released from the hospital. He immediately runs to the beach, tearing the sleeves off his shirt, screaming toward the sky... "Bring it on Fay, you filthy Wh%^&!"
Then Good Morning America shows up..
http://abcnews.go.com/gma

"Yes my throat was injured when they tried to put me under.. coma for a little while"...

"I do have a snowboarding helmet thats also used as a kite surfing helmet, that I will be wearing for the next tropical storm that I decide to ride in"

"Sorry I made a few jealous viewers..."

Kearney has accepted a Lead Kook position at the LearnWithoutLessons Kite School

I don't think Kevin has actually earned the Darwin award, yet anyway.

Of course I doubt he will be impregnating any kiter girls thanks to his new found celibrity.

Although falling just short of success in this attempt he does seem to have the right stuff, so to speak.

Anyway, I wish Kevin a full recovery. Hopefully it was the medications and he will be more thoughtful in the future.

That guy is an embarrassment to the sport.
Is our sport a dork magnet?
A lot of geeks looking to prove they have balls and want to have a legitimate excuse to wear surfwear.

yeah, i thought at least the weatherman pointed away from the "kiteboarding is for morons" message Kevin was putting out. The weatherman, who probably wouldn't know a kite from a canolli, understood that some weather patterns are fairly stable and appropriate for wind sports, and others, (like, say, hurricanes), not so much.

here are some mean faces, since i am a random guy on the internet Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

You can't qualify for a Darwin award until you kill yourself in the process of being a moron, thereby saving the world from his flawed genotype and likely equally retarded spawn.

He does qualify as the most visible blight on the sport in a while.

Not true. I'm pretty sure that if you lose the ability to reproduce, then you qualify because you can't pass on your numbskull genes. This douchebag might still be fertile, but I can't imagine him actually getting any ladies in the near future with his Marge Simspon voice, unless of course he finds a fellow turtle lover.
