Yeah, Steve. I don't know why you'd want to (as it's a bit more "work"), but you could simply hold onto the CSS loop and either unhook and release the bar or pull the emergency. Leaving it tied to the leash just makes for one less thing to hold onto. Thought about leaving the ring and cutting the red loop off of my bars, but it probably is a good thing to have on there just incase. |

I used the CSS red loop the other day when I was helping Kelton sort out an inverted rev. It kept the bar close to the kiter, and the inversion came out clean. You just have to watch out for the loose center line so you don't get tangled up in it. _________________ Lets FLY |

Regarding the red handle and thinking about it some more, I could see where if your leash came undone, or you forgot to hook it to the ring (I admit, I've done this) this would allow you a back-up way to bail. |
