I like the Roush Mega Loaf (like the Morphius Pro but sandwich core and 2" thick) mostly because of the quad fins and configuration options.

Just got this locally. http://www.inlandsurfer.com/shop/Details.asp?ProdID=51&category=5

Stoked! Pretty enough to do like I used to. Keep all the surfboards in the living room so I could look at them everyday Laughing

So it seems time to buy another kite related goodie and I'm looking to buy a skimboard. I almost pissed myself when I saw the sticker price on some at the shop. Can someone give me the skinny on skims? Can't I get by with something cheap like...

Or will I be pretty bummed later on. It's not like I'm going to turn into gman or anything Smile they just seem fun when the wind sucks.

I have that exact board w/ flames and all. It is fairly heavy and small - I'm 190. I've only ridden one other skimboard(much bigger) so I don't have that much to compare it to but this didn't seem like a lightwind board at all. It can be ridden both ways quite easily due to its shape but you need some wind to get it going especially at my weight. The bigger board that I tried was like floating accross the water and gave you much more room for error. I think I might add just a front strap and try slashing in some heavier wind. It was my kid's board so between his use and it being my first attempt at using a skimboard it was well worth the $.

I have the Nobile. Had it for almost 3 years now. Nice board. Sharp parallel rails help it to ride much like a TT. The configurable fins help when changing from riding flat water to waves. It's fairly lightweight, has the integrated deck pad. And has held up well for me.

It is pricey though and there appears to be many more options now. But I am glad I bought it and look forward to every session I have on it.

Good luck!
