Are there any Cabrinha Contra riders out there? I have a Switchblade 12m (and love my Switchblade’s) but I want something a little bigger, lighter and faster turning so I was thinking of the Contra 13m (maybe 15m). I want to also use it for snow kiting. Opinions? Sorry but I’m not interested in other brands.

Well, Steve, you probably already know my opinion on the Contra. I think Cabrinha should make a full quiver of Contra and not just 13, 15, 17... But the addition of the 13 was definitely a good call. The lightweight design gives it a very nice turning speed. I often feel like my Contra 15 is faster turning than my SB 12 and definitely feel much lighter on the bar than other Cab kites in sizes greater than 12m. I had the opportunity to try the 13 too and it would definitely be a good choice based on my weight (160lb).

I have a never been used before 2004 19.5 recon contra with brand new bar that I picked up from a coastie last yea who got transferedr... not sure what to do with it? I wont use it, so if you know anyone who might be interested? let me know

I have a 15m Contra, used once in Aruba this past December. Blue, superb condition. Flown twice. Let me know and I can send you my cell for text/pics, etc.

Hi Steve. I have been using a SB 12 for years on the snow and just switched over to Contra 13. It is much lighter and turns about the same even though it is a size larger than the SB 12. As mentioned it has a really nice feel which is a lot to say as the SB has such a great reputation.
