I'm coming to Portland next week.......I see winds up........does the river freeze? Do people go out? I'm also going to be in Bend. Is there potential for snowkiting there? Thanks for the help.

We (or mostly my retarded ass) talked about the Columbia freezing before, but I guess it hasn't happened for a long time, and it probably won't anytime soon. The temps are waaaaaay up from where they were a few weeks ago, and it wasn't even anywhere close to freezing then.

It is freezing in that it's super cold though! Wink

Super warm wetsuit/drysuit are a must, but then you can ride (if the water's not too high, depending on location).

around bend there may be some struggles to be had but not much with quality or reliability I have seen. Although tomorrows( Sunday) east winds may be good at elevation.
