Aeoleus, I will be seeing you out there with some other members of the deep south crew. This will be one of those days where I put on my wetsuit before leaving the house.

OSR from Rockaway
Backing wind gusting SE, lulls down to 0, horizontal moderate Rain, waiting for the 60 mph gusts with sheeting rain to go out, perhaps
You will find me instead at Seaside Brewing instead

In and around Newport it was basically a zero for kiting today with light and gusty SSE winds near shore and ripping 30 knot southerlies out at Stonewall Bank 12 miles from shore. I went SUP surfing instead of festering waiting for the wind.
Just wondering if anyone did get some on the Oregon/Washington coast where the wind may have cantered to SW near shore?
It is getting dark as I write this and the first strong SSW gusts are starting to hit my house...

Started at Sunset a little underpowered on a 7m at noon. Then it picked up. Well lit on a 7m about 20 minutes into the session.

I was surfing Seaside cove and kept watching northward for kites. We would get some gusts down to the water but, didn't last. I kept surfing and never even tried. Surf was small but, fun.

Side/side off SSE 8M at Seaside from @ 1:30 to 3. Pesky driving rain but some nice reform terrain. A windsurf landboarder was working the beach and a boogie boarder came in with a nice plump crab.
By dark the gusts were getting extreme. Clatsop registering a 58 @ 9pm!
