				| I have students who returned home and were interested in continuing to learn to kiteboard. Has anyone had a good experience with a kite school within 2 or 3 hours of the city?

				| The only one I know of is the NY Kitecenter in Amityville, NY, out on Long Island. We stopped there last year on the Best RV tour and it seems like a pretty good shop. They use boats to get to and teach out on the sandbar islands in the sound. Link here: http://nykitecenter.com/

				| We're at the NY Kite Center this weekend. Got some great riding on the flats out in the sound yesterday. It's a great spot for learning as well as playing in the slicks.
The shop is even better than last year. Super helpful staff, lots of gear to look through and plenty of room to check things out. They also have lockers and changing rooms for students to get geared up. Great selection of used gear as well.

Some pics of the shop below.
