At Corbett today, it was blowing about 30. A 14m is WAY too big, I mean WAY, WAY too big, OK? Especially at around 160 lbs? If you don't have a small enough kite it means don't ride, not "Give it a go anyways..." |

They must have been trying to do a fast downwinder to Hayden island. _________________ Switch Nitro II (8m, 10m, 12m)

Something is missing here. If I see a newbie putting up a kite that is too big, as an experienced kiter, I feel obligated to say something. I'm looking out for them, myself (rescue mode) and for the preservation the launch at that location.

What actually happened? I know most of the time you're not in a position to stop it till it's too late. |

Definite carnage, no smiling... Carnage occurred as we approached the beach, no chance to apply preventative procedures. Just hoping to warn the next victim, even if it is entertaining to watch. |

Sometimes you just have to let the herd cull itself and Release the Kraken to enjoy those late season crispy kite used prices. When 3 guys are standing around 1 kite all looking at how to attach a pigtail...you know it's going to be a shit show very soon. |
