So you want to kite the 50plus winds at Rooster....

Here are some signs you may not be ready.....

If your smallest kite is the one you have used at Sauvie.... Your not ready.

If when driving out 84 you wonder where Rooster went, as all you can see is a huge dust storm... Your not ready.

If you have to ask someone "Why is the river smoking"... Your not ready.

If you still have a board leash... Your not ready.

If you turn down the offer to have someone launch you, because you can do your own selflaunch.... Your not ready.

IF you toss down your board instead of placing it on the sand with lots of sand on it and it blows down the beach... Your not ready

Very Happy

I can vouch for this one. Though I didn't turn down a launch I did try to self launch on an eastie day and got myself a nice concussion, ER trip, and about 18 hours worth of amnesia for the trouble. Seriously don't kite 6m winds without a good deal of experience; and a tiny kite.

Pretty sure the kite in the air was mine. I was on a 9m LIT like Cheech and Chong. Good times.

What a wild day! Rarely do I get lit up on a 5 meter kite! I was a little nervous walking out to the water hoping my equipment wasn't going to fail.
