Anyone know whats up with these? The steering lines are about 12" longer than the center lines.
These were supposed to be the perfect kites for my wife _________________ Slingshot | Ride Engine |Try before you buy | PM me

Wow! Thanks for chiming in Pepi. That is cool.
This was a brand new complete setup. I brought it by the headquarters today and 2 very nice and professional tech support discovered that yes, in fact the 2 outside lines were longer than the center lines.
If you have recently bought a Key check your lines and get some pigtails.
I was happy the solution was found. It doesn't make up for the 2 lost sessions for my wife and my impatience with her [stay strong wife, the wind gods will reward you]
And it worked out ok today because I had a 5 meter kite to go ride! Woo Hoo !!! _________________ Slingshot | Ride Engine |Try before you buy | PM me

I know mine were close to the same length, we're you missing the pigtails on the center line? _________________ Switch Nitro II (8m, 10m, 12m)

Pigtails for the center lines solved the problem. If you buy a new SS key check your lines. _________________ Slingshot | Ride Engine |Try before you buy | PM me

Also I tried a couple different kites, and for me it seemed that my 10m key was under powered and didn't turn quite as fast. The way I usually have the kite setup is middle knot on the steering lines and the knot closest to the bar on the front lines. Anyone fly keys that have advice on the knots? Or is it only I'd you need it depowered or powered up more where you attach to the pig tails? _________________ Switch Nitro II (8m, 10m, 12m)

If you call the SS hotline. I believe it is Alex. He has the knots all figured out. _________________ Slingshot | Ride Engine |Try before you buy | PM me

slingshot told me to rig up center knot on front lines and first knot (closest to bar) on steering lines _________________ Determination: The feeling you get when you're about to do something really stupid! |
