Someone should buy this thing! If you can handle the slap in the face from Ian, that is.
It's a 93 Ford Amberlamps 4x4 Diesel(non turbo, bummer) with, wait for it.... 16k miles on it. He wants $8k. It is the one you see on your way to Jones Beach in Scappoose across from the High School. I checked it out and I damn near bought it. But I picked up a sick little rig myself, it's called a Bandit (no kiddin). The guys name is Daryl and he's pretty cool. His # is 503-936-7352. I'm not connected in any way, I just thought someone on here should get it.

Is 8k all? I have seen that thing there for about a month. Always wanted to stop and see the asking price.

That thing is hot! Someone should grab it, I will fend off Ian for ya Very Happy

My pref is usually to buy from Fire Departments directly, they are even cheaper than that and kept immaculate by the FD. But that thing looks clean at least from the photo, and the milage is spectacular.

That looks killer. so few miles, so many possibilities.

too bad about the non-turbo though. Don't expect to merge into any fast moving traffic w/o a nice, long (preferrable downhill) on ramp. haha.

Could also add a turbo I guess:

BUY IT!

Mine is a 7.3 no turbo. Actually the non turbo ones are the bombers that can go 500k. They made that engine forever, ask any Ford dude and they will tell you its the one to have. The turbo ones are still great probably more efficient and more HP, but had more problems than the 7.3.

Oh yeah and anything that weighs 11,000 lbs isn't going to accelerate like crazy, turbo or no... but people tend to be ready for you when you look like an ambo.

Maybe they are just smarter?

For me it was a $2500 insulated van with exterior storage and a solid diesel engine with only 100k on it. Probably ran for $100,000 new and its built like it with all aluminum construction and insanely solid electrical. Basically a poor mans Sportsmobile, but with more storage and room.

Come up with something better than that and let me know!
