I am a beginner kiter and I need some advise. This will be my first kite and I am trying to decide between the Cabrinha 9m Crossbow or Convert. I will be doing almost all of my kiting in the Gorge. Any suggestions?

Steve

The Crossbow is a much faster kite then the Convert and is a lot more fun to fly in gusty conditions because of the greater wind range.

It does require you to fly it. Your participation is needed to turn it away from slack line when it surges forward during the lulls. The Convert will be less demanding to fly because it is slower in the turns and hangs deeper in the window. However after a few days in our gusty conditions you will learn to keep the power on in the lulls and be able to cut through the gusts.

Go with the crossbow.
