Hi,
Looking for suggestions on who would be good to go through for lessons around Portland,Hood River, and/or OR coast. Am willing to pay for a quality series of lessons from a company or an experience/well informed self employed instructor. Mooched a bit last summer trying to get free advice. Doesn't quite work for kite boarding like it does snowboarding.

I learned from Nate at Air Pirates last summer. He is a great teacher. He generally teaches out at Jones beach which is a lot less crowded than HR and it is not too far from PDX.

Agreed, it might be helpful to have a "Info for Newbies" thread always at the top with info about lessons. I cringe when I read or hear some of the newbie's questions; e.g.- "Where can I get one of those big kites?" yikes...

the ultimate sticky that is always at the top, that says "first timers, read this first". and in that post, write ups and links to all of the repeated newbie questions

how to use the search function

where are the beginner spots?
who gives lessons?
where do i buy kites?
when does SI blow?

blah blah blah
