The sun is out, the wind is up, and the water is way too high to launch. Sucks

Hi, long time reader, first time poster (moved here in December - stoked) Me and a couple of other dudes when hiking in search of a decent launch spot. Water, water everywhere.... oh my! First launch failed due to water in LE bladder. Second launch OK but 7m underpowered. I launched with a 10m, well powered but subsequently almost ripped my kite in two with a crash. I offer this sacrifice to the Gorge wind gods, may it appease.

Look forward to riding with you guys this summer.... I'll be the guy with the new 10m.... javascript:emoticon('Very Happy')

sorry to see the ripped kite picture.

but before you buy a new kite, check out Airtime in Hood River. they have a simple website, you upload pictures of the damage, they email you a quote. then you can decide; garbage vs. fix. in my case a few years back, chose to fix. they did a great job, and for less than the quote.

sorry about the kite. But thanks for the homage to the wind gods(?) maybe summer will finally arrive.

As for your kite. totally bring it to airtime. That will be under $150 or so, as long as it is just a canopy resew. more if it includes the bladder. But when you go to sell the kite, you won't take quite as big of a hit.

you can buy a newish kite tomorrow at the swap meet if you're looking to upgrade to a non-busted kite Very Happy. just fyi (yes, I know I'm a smart-ass)

That's not a bad rip at all. Airtime will have you up and running for a very reasonable price.
