Getting too old for my elbow tendons to handle the T2 bar pressure anymore. Was looking at Octanes but had some questions. From looking at Slingshots wind range graph it looks like the Stevenson money kite (9M T2) would be the equivalent of a 11M Octane. I have never seen an Octane in the gorge and Pepe doesn't even carry them. Wazzup with that?

Another option would be to eat advil wear tennis elbow armbands and wait for the Rallys to come out. Any idea about the bar pressure on those?

You must not be looking in the right places...I was out on my Octane all weekend Very Happy

Not sure how they are to the T2's but I have a 7 & 9m and love them both. I would say generally speaking I think you could ride a 9 most of the time at Stevie but it also depends on your weight.

I know they sold out fast last year so that might be why they are hard to find.

Saw the Rally this weekend looks cool.

Bar pressure sucks. It can make you start compensating in other areas and next thing you're sore all over.

The Octane is the new Rev with greater ability to tune. I never had problems with tennis elbow and my Rev's...even the 13M and 15M.

The Octane will boost.....while the RPM is more built for waves...the Key is a delta power house and the Rally is...well not sure what style it benefits yet.

Ping EY and get some demo time because with so many choices...you want to make the right decision.

Sorry, could not find username EY to ping. Any other distinguishing features for EY?
Weigh 190 (before Joe's El Rio) and ride a surfboard. It's a question of an 11 or 9 right now.

EY here!

I currently do not have any octanes.

But I do have Keys and RPMs for demo. Both kites have lighter bar pressure compares with the T2. Give both of them a try. The Key's performance is closer to your T2. Time to get rid of that tennis elbow!

PM me the time you want to demo. I will make it happen.

Hit me up next time you see me in Stevenson! Just switching from Rev to Octane... My 11m Octane is equivalent to my 11m Rev--although the Octane has a bit more low end--and my 11m Rev has always been my money kite there at Stevie. Considering your weight advantage, I'm guessing the 9m Octane will be yours. I don't have a 9m Octane yet, but you can try my 11m.
