Take bigger kites and contact "stringy". He is from there. He can tell you what is up. Last edited by Sasquatch on Tue Jun 22, 10 8:36 am; edited 1 time in total |

forecast not looking too stellar up here this week.
if it goes, it will blow at jetty island. that's kind of like our version of sauvies except we can't drink beer on the island. but it does blow there more than sauvies. nice steady thermals are generally the conditions this time of the year, however we have yet to see the sun this week. with the warmer temps coming, we may get a couple hours of wind in the late afternoon early evening. usually good powered up 14m conditions.
in the city, you've got golden gardens, carkeek park, and alki, but chances are the winds will be too light to make these beaches work.
come up on saturday and you can race with the locals. cabrinha is sponsoring the local races at jetty island this summer.
since jetty island is obviously an island, you'll need to find some transportation to and from the island. give one of the local shops a call and see if they might be able to help you out with transportation. usually they have shuttles for students but may be able to give a guest to the area a ride.
have fun,
