Fri Mar 19, 10 3:07 pm Need Advice Regarding 7m Cabrinha Convert Wind Range |
|
|
Hiya! I'm looking at purchasing a '09 7m Cabrinha Convert & have looked on Cabrinha's site which says for someone 170lbs the wind range is 22-30 mph. Can anyone tell me what the wind range might be if I'm 120 lbs?
I'm trying to find a newbie kite that is good for the low teens-20s mph.
Cheers! |

For a ballpark range....you're weight is currently 70% of the posted weight for 22-30 mph meaning the same kite in 15-21 mph should produce the same performance for you. This is an "estimate" as gusts etc all come into play.
Also, the board size you ride, your edging skills to hold down power, your aggressiveness with sending then kite, overall line length and depower capabilities of that Cabrinha have a lot to do with what you can, or cannot ride in.
For your weight....that 7M in +20 will be a lot of power for you if you're just beginning IMO so know your area local wind characteristics well. Good luck...be safe. |
