Sun May 31, 09 9:23 pm Sand in Bladders? |
|
|
I tried a search no luck. is there one good way that is better than another? Say one that I don't have to remove the bladders? I was just going to try and fill them with water then dump out the water. Somehow that seems like a waste of time already. I bought a new used kite and it seems to have a lot of sand in it. It flies great but already has a pinhole leak in one strut. I'm sure with the sand that is in it matters will get worse. shit out of luck or what? |

the only way i've ever been able to get sand outta the bladders is to remove the entire bladder and pump it up. Then let gravity do the work, just give the bladder a lil finger drum roll starting from the tip and working your way to the valve. when the valve is full of sand pull the plug and do the finger drum roll.
hope that helps,

yeah i think that is what ill do on the struts and just leave the LE in, clothespin the ends and hit it with low air pressure. after i started thinking about the water idea i realized how bad an idea that was |

If there is sand INSIDE the bladders already, there is probably a shit load of sand in the sleeves that hold the bladders, which is just as bad, if not worse actually, for the kite.
Grab some beer, a good porn flick, and sit down and take them out. |
