hey I'm heading down with a friend to SP April 23 - May 2, and was wondering if anyone knows of cheap housing, or if they want to hook a sista up (poor college student), and any info on the scene there?? i have never been so any info would be sweet!!

Jeff at Air Padre is up to about 6 places that are doing good deals for this event that are 1 and 2 bedroom condos ranging from $45 to 155 per night. He is posting them to his web site under the lodging tab. He'll be adding more this afternoon. http://www.spikiteroundup.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=92&Itemid=110.
If they are directly on the beach/ocean you can expect to pay more than the ones "inland." Since the island is only 3 blocks wide, "inland" is not far.
Most of the events will happen on the flats which is the North side of the island. Go to Google maps and put in "South Padre Island condos" and you can see the locations of the condos. |
