so the video of dimitri crashing into the house is going to be on "Adrenaline Rush Hour" that just started right now on discovery.

update:
Not as bad as I thought.
They had Dimitri on and he didn't make an ass of himself.
They treated it like play with fire and get burned.

so yeah,

Watching folks eat it is just good TV.

Jackass is an example of such quality programing.

As far being critical of the spot, I have to say the set-up was the worst part--

--a fellow needs an out, there was none.

The Mo put himself into a dead end channel at speed.

there was no out.

That's not balzy no, that's just stupid, and for that he just had to take the hit.

I admire the skills, he's got them, but I do not think stupid should be our public face....

And let's be clear, the stunt (for lack of an out---respect Murphy and his law) was stupid, end of story.

It's the fly in the industry ointment.

The irony of it makes me smile, then again my back water spot is never likely to get banned, not for lack of dumb fuc / showboating d-wads, but for lack of enforcement.

God bless the strangled Fed.

That's the truth I'd say...

When I look at the big picture you got two choices...

Venerate the glory seeking nerds, e.g. yer little rickys, or the jokes, oops jocks.

I'm leaning toward the latter...

It's a go for that mo, it's just less nauseating / more entertaining...

I'd have just as swell a time watching you smash your nuggets on that rail you're married to.

Well, maybe I am a little biased ( I do work for him) but Dimitri a Kook!
No more a kook than any one of use out there pushing the limits!
No more than those flying off cliffs or being towed up with kites and released!
The stuff these riders do including Dimiri are not for the general kiting community. Laughing

a kook would be defined as someone who doesn't know what they are doing. dimitri is far from that. watch any vid of him and he does indeed know a few things about kiteboarding. he was doing this long before any of us were.

this particular thing he did is called a stunt, not kiteboarding. did motorcycle riding get banned when evil knievel crashed is bike? has skydiving been banned when someone chute doesn't open? no.

i personally would never try this. if someone does want to emulate him, may darwin be with you.

I don't know, seems like kook is just not the right word...

I've had occasion to be around a few kooks, and they are just plain folks (could be nice guys too) without the tools...

o' they got the gear alright, just not the tools. (always trying to launch in the wind shadow, fiddling with their strobe light while their kite goes for a runner..etc.)

I'd class the "serial tangler" as a d-wad.

Some of my closest buds are also d-wads, nice guys for sure, no doubt, but also those who will, in time, get noticed by the wrong people--the ones wearing badges and driving pick-ups with government plates.

and just forget about trying to talk sense to the glory (d-wads) hounds because they have the tools and will use them, no matter what, they just can't help it.

Give me a few d-wads and a single kook, there's no better combo for shear entertainment value while recouping with a cold one ....

Call me mediocrity personified...but i'm laughing my ass off

go Big I'm all about a good time.
