...but I have neither the skill, nor the you-know-whats. Wave is typically about 6' of churning, silty, cold, "I don't care what's on your resume" death.

| I watched a show on surfing the tidal bore on the amazon pretty cool. I think I would prefer cold to poisonous snakes and alagtors.

| The Turnagan is so sweet. I worked up in Alieska (town in the middle of the arm) for a week and those guys run it on surfboards and kayaks. There is a road next to it, so if you lose the wave you just paddle to shore and have the designated shuttle bunny runs you up above the wave and off you go again. I think a kite would be way sweeter, no need for the shuttle bunny and everyone gets to ride. However, before the big earth quake it used to be twice as big but the waters depth increassed as the bottom sank. Best part is it goes for miles and miles up river.

Hard to tell size of the wave from the video, but looks like there might be a nice spot to catch it at the narrowing/sharp turn South of town according to the map.
