Is anyone giving lessons at Sauvie? Preferably with a jet ski?

Tucker seemed willing to give lessons at SI last year. No ski tho.

Gorge Bob has talked about getting a ski for giving lessons at SI. Maybe Blake has an update about that, but it seems like he's hardly ever on the forum except to sell "cougar beds"

Also, I'd be happy to give lessons about how to kite real slow with big kites in barely kiteable wind that most gorge people would frown at. I don't have any certs or prior students, and I fall down a lot, so that might not be a good option either..... Laughing

I think there is some regulation against commercial uses of the beach at Sauvies which is why lesson can not be had there, well along with the skunkage problem.

WARNING - POSSIBLE POACH!!
The wildlife preserve at Sauvies is off limits to commercial enterprises. Blake is off fishing with his Dad, however Brian is an IKO instructor and he can help out.

When Eugene, Salem and Hillsburitto all chime in with readings like this, I would say SI is going to be good today.

Have fun and be safe.

I don't think kiteboarding was factored in when they wrote that law. It makes sense that a wildlife preserve would be offlimits to commercial fishing, beaver trapping etc. But it doesn't make sense that someone can't be taught how to steer a kite when there are 10-20 kites operating in the area.
