Forcast was 15 @ 1pm.. you could see the wind move dwn the gorge. i thought i'd have a nice 15-20 on my 12 but by the time it was go time the wind picked up to over 20. figured i'd get in some lesson time.. went out and got my ass kicked by a bow kite.. used to my hybrid.. didn't think it would fly that differently ended up calling it when the wind picked up again over 25 gusting to 35! At least i was able to offer my services to a few people as a 200lb anchor to help land kites. As i was going in some guy almost beamed the tree stumps by the spit... he was drug across the rocks but is ok. Saftey reflex!!! Before i packed it up there were 4 people jumping. sweet airs! i got some pics and videos from the docks. whoever was flying the ion 8.. rock on! Definately sucked in case anyone was wondering ... probably enough wind, but straight over the bank and offshore. You'd be in Washington if you tried it!
