Stringy glad you made a big donation to KB4C with your winnings, that is great. As I said I have nothing against you or anyone else in the contest. But do you not understand why Im pissed. I can tell you without a doubt that the best photos did not win this contest. In fact it seems the photos did not matter at all. As I said I could win this contest taking pictures with my fucking camera phone of the ground with my kiteboard sitting there, and invite all my friends to come and vote for me. That is bullshit. And the teams that were actually putting effort into this and not just chilling at the sandbar two days snapping off totally stock, weak kite photos, get nothing for their effort.

I think in future years it would help if they actually had some judges who knew something about photography.

I would hate to see what you act like when you win something Ian.

Yes, the night pond shot was the best photo IMO of the contest, but your entire set of photos don't "take the cake". On about half of your photos you can't even see an ION label in the shot. The shot of you (Ion 4 of 6) that is all blurry actually looks like someone took the photo with your cell phone camera.

"I think in future years it would actually help if the contest had. . ." contestants ". . .who knew something about. . ." manners and how to win and lose correctly.

Props to all of people involved and to Ion. Way to stoke the stoke.

Nice donation Stringy to KB4C!

Just to clarify I wouldnt do something as dumb as that. There could be a certain photographer staying at my house that might of had something to do with it though.

I feel that we should change the attitude of this thread. We are all brothers and sisters. We should be using this thread to spread love and friendship.

I for one would like to welcome anyone, from everywhere, into my neighborhood. Everyone's welcome at Fred's van! Can I offer you a cold beer Wink ?

Coming to the hood on vacation? Thank you for helping our local economy. You're not spending money with me directly but you are helping many of my friends and that's even better. I understand and appreciate how important your dollars are to the local economy of Hood River. Thanks!

Anyone from Seattle?...Please come by and say hi friend! I'm the big fat kook that loves everyone!

P.S. To the big drunk guy...I'll let you grab my neck, if you let me grab your ass. It's only fair bro... Embarassed

well said!

its amazing how easy it is for one pissed off guy to poison a whole group. we're better then that. ignore it and keep on loving life Cool

BTW Old Yeller makes a good point. Go visit Hood River in January sometime and you'll see its an F'ing Ghost town. Just image what it would look like without all of the out of towners looking for there outdoor alternative to going to Vegas. kiting and windsurfing travel keep Hood River alive. Without them that town would be just like any other place on the Columbia.
