Sorry for the mass post, but I want to get this out early...

Volunteers needed
Kiteboarding 4 Cancer is scheduled for August 7-9, 2009 and I need reliable volunteers and lead coordinators to make this event another great one! We may even have a small budget for some of you coordinators. If you have a strength let us know and we will try and accommodate your talents to the best position!

Services/Items for Silent & Live Auction
Do you have a business or friends with a business that wants to get the word out on what they do? Here's an opportunity to market their business and give to a great cause. Donations can be emailed to me tonia@kb4c.org.

Volunteers: Need volunteers of all kinds!

Volunteer Coordinator: This person will check in and manage the days-of-event volunteer staff, their times, and responsibilities. Must be good managing people and play well with others! Very Happy

>> Need lots of volunteers!

Sponsorship Coordinator: This person will be available for the vendors, brands, and booths during the event, as well as ensuring that all signage, banners, flags, tents, and booths our well-positioned and secure. Will have a volunteer staff as well to assist. Must have great communication skills! Very Happy

>> Need volunteers to help with banners, flags, and booth setup & tear-down most likely Friday afternoon, Saturday morning, and after the event.

Event Coordinator: This person will keep the events on schedule throughout the day, and manage the general starting requirements and logistics of each event. Will have a volunteer staff to assist. Must be comfortable managing people and be able to multitask. Very Happy

>> Need event volunteers to help launch/land kites, help with SUP boards, buoys, write endurance race times, rescue boats, etc.

Auctions Coordinator: FILLED. Melissa Still
>> Need silent auction volunteers to help setup silent auction area, monitor throughout the day, and check buyers out at the end of the day.

KB4C Booth Coordinator: This person will run the KB4C booth with a team of volunteers, registering athletes, selling t-shirts, and accepting donations for KB4C. Must be friendly and fun! Very Happy

>> Need booth volunteers on Friday for pre-registration and Saturday throughout the day.

I volunteered last year. I ended up setting up a bunch of the tents, jump buoys (with Janet), and a bunch of other stuff. I had a blast and would like to help again. Just let me know what you would like me to do.

Sorry, haven't checked NWKite since November, yes, I'm a very bad person and haven't checked Facebook since like January 3rd., again very bad.... Check your PM T so we can ensure you have me in the right spot and I can assist however I can with what time I have.....

You have our jet-ski as usual:-) Lance and I did have fun doing those darned buoys, boy was that a task and a half and almost a roll over for us:-)

T, are you filled up with volunteers yet? I've moved out of state and haven't booked travel back yet but plan to be there. PM me if you need more peeps to help out. (I'll probably leave my cargo van up there for the summer if you need any hauling).

Tonia,
I've been involved with KB4C for the past two summers.
This event has always been a great opportunity for our kiteboarding community to do something great off the water as well as on the water during the derby.
I have looked forward to asking my friends to support the cause and the anticipation that draws out throughout the summer that leads to that day in August when we all unite for the cause at the event site.
still one of the best days to experience in the summertime. my two daughters and myself will be there to help you out in any capacity to ensure the event is a success.
That means if you need help during the day, I will give up being on the water to help you.
just so you know, there's only a handful of people in this world that I can do that for. you are one of them.

just let me know what you want me to do and it will get done.

Hi Tonia,

I broke down this May and finally had my knee reconstructed that was first injured in 1999. I now have a new LCL & PCL and as you can guess, kiteboarding has been cancel for me this summer however I'd be happy to donate my time to help you with this worthy cause.
