Shy--we can't thank you and Slingshot enough! Awesome video, and great clinic. Kids were riding in some big, big wind. You pulled the plug at the right time. Rest assured they are all stoked--big time. BOG this year may need to renamed BOKids.
The body drags were a smash success! The 5m Revs and T kites were just unbelievable! The 40 mph + gusts were not an issue at all. As you know we were skunked for wind on our other two scheduled days so we had to get all 22 through today. I couldn't have done that with help from Barry Paul, Nico Cooper, Glen and Alyson Fromm, Mike Anderson, Bob Raulston, Kraig Kerr, Tom Merriam, Heather Amaryllis, Steve Bennett, Dave Smith, Laura Maher, Bill Morrissey, Bruce Peterson, Bill Gates, Mac Roy Jackson, Lynn Jackson, Terese Roeseler, Holly Cohn, Tina Cramer, Julie Hart and too many other parents to name who brought food, shuttled kids, drove ski boats and PWC and just about everything else. Really, Joe and I had it easy. All we had to do was drag and sail.
Amery, Jeff and Kish loaned us everything we needed and more. Slingshot really made this happen for all of the kids this year.

Nice job Eric,
The reality is that Eric is a beloved math teacher at HRMS. Kids want to take his classes because he is "cool." Even kids who are struggling with life and the digits respect and learn from Eric.
It is by his sheer tenacity, earned respect from the powers that be, that this program didn't get cut. In fact ,the respect that Eric has as a teacher/person are in such high regard that the Hood River School District Leadership team chose to keep this going. We are incredibly lucky in HRCSD to have a forward thinking administrative team!(Dr. Pat Evenson-Brady et. al.)
This program is available to all kids and Eric is always looking for ways to make it bigger, but better.
Amazing job Eric!! You are my hero, and literally 1000's of kids in this community love math, and life, just a little more because you are a cool teacher.

It was good to see all the kids killing it out there yesterday! The program has come a long ways since this punk graduated from it 6 years ago!! Cohn is definitely a super cool teacher, and taught me a lot not just about math and science, but about life also!!

I had the opportunity to go and visit kids participating in this clinic. I witnessed first hand, the "one of a kind" program we have the privilege to offer at our school. We are so lucky to have Eric and Joe as part of our staff!
We all know our district is facing difficult times, therefore, I believe it is important for you to know that this year, Mr. Cohn & Mr. Dolan took kids to these clinics in the afternoon so we wouldn’t have to hire substitute teachers.
I would like to thank local businesses, parents, and students for their dedication and support. I believe students deserve high quality education and unique opportunities. Thank you Mr. Cohn and Mr. Dolan for going the extra mile for HRMS students!
Finally, I want to assure these two teachers, as well as windsport fans that, I will continue to advocate for this “ENRICHMENT CLASS”.
