Has anyone come up with a slick way to put your name and phone number on your gear other than a sharpie? I mar my beauteous board with my sharpie scrawl and it rubs off anyway. I would hate to take the pen to my kite too.

Since ID mainly helps honest folks get your gear back to you, I think the best solutions would be removable for resale - but would also hold up under use. Any good ideas?

I put clear packing tape over the sharpie on the board and it stays just fine. I also use kite repair tape to mark on then stick that to my kites, it seems to work well.

Borrow a friend label makers...I make them super small and put them by my foot pads they have stuck for the past two seasons.

The other option is you can make custom stickers at cafepress.com make it what ever colors/font you want to.

...HEY check us out at Tum-A-Lum Lumber Co. We have a paint based marker that is used for power tool identification. It lasts a long time. Couple different colors (black, red, yellow). Retails at $2.69
