Mon May 18, 09 5:26 am Anybody travel to Maui recently on Northwest? |

So, I'm thinking 2 kites, and a board. From what I've read it looks like I'll be paying extra bag after my first linear 62inch checked bag.
So, anyone have direct experience on NW airlines?

Not going to Maui, but a simple www search usually works, Delta and NW are merging:
"One golf bag is acceptable up to 50 pounds as a checked bag. If the bag exceeds 50 pounds, excess baggage fees will apply. The outside linear dimensions may exceed 80 inches and no excess baggage fees will apply. All other standard baggage charges apply.
One item of golfing equipment is defined as one golf bag."

I always use the NSI golf bag, and squeeze all my other essentials into my carry-on, No charges. _________________ CGKA Member

I like to fly NWA from seattle.
done it less than a half dozen times but as for NSI golf bags, it's been hit or miss for me.
been charged, never on the way over but been charged on the way back.
probably had more to do with weight.
wet gear, not being able to weigh my bag, it's easy to become overweight.
I'll carry my special club in the bag.
have fun in maui.
