i live in Hood River OR, so yesterday i go into portland for my gramdpas 80th birthday, we lock our front door and all that good stuff, and we spend the night at portland. When we come back(on mothers day at 10:30) our front door was open and inside somone had been through all my stuff. They stole my brand new dell xps one 24 inch my sisters macbook, my dads laptop, a whole bunh of jewelry, and the weirdest thing of all, my ski bag with my purple helmet, dakine gloves, and seson pass in it, oh and my ps3, if any of you guys around my area know anything about anything like this just please let me know. If you had any tracking software installed on the computers that might help if whoever stole them gets online then you can track them and find out where your stolen computer is located. I've got undercover on mine.

That sucks!

Get a laser sheild alarm unit. It's cheap and it works on wireless motion detection units. You can hood it up to call your cel and then the police if you tell it too. Very cool and it will keep the bungler's out.

Totally sucks....we had our White Salmon place broke into a few months back too and lost a bunch of stuff.

we accidently left our garage in PDX open all night with my motorcycle (with key in it), kiting stuff, snowboarding stuff, bike, ect and no one touched it at all......I can't believe it.

OMG BB! I had no idea. White Salmon? Wow. I left our garage open all night with a shiny brand new snow blower front & center all night. Still there. Couldn't believe it.

I hope the guy who posted gets his stuff back - anyone wearing a purple helmet in The Gorge will be suspect.

Yep it was a major bummer. Garret's place in the WS got broke into as well. They mostly took electronics and stuff that was easy to grab and go.

In Bingen:
We were leaving our doors/garage wide open...not locking up etc. My mom lives with us and she said when my hubby pulled out of the driveway (i was already at work), a minute later there was a transient looking fellow who was lerking around the edges of our property (last week). She called Joe & he came right back and the guy made a quick exit. We lock everything now-even when we are home. I also have a nice surprise for any tresspassers.

Oh, I almost forgot. Last summer, there was a guy who was sleeping on the porch of the church across from our house in Bingen. I would walk the dog early & see him. I didn't call anyone cause I felt sorry for him, but it did freak me out a little. That same church was just purchased and is now a half way house. I guess I won't be mowing my lawn in a bikini anymore...
