Saw some people soaring the Mountains east of Tillamook just north of the Wilson river Sunday. Was a nice light west wind pushing up over the mountains and it looked like these guys could gain elevation at will. Any information on launching, landing, shuttle, flight duration times? Just curious.

Nah, not me. The place you are describing is the "Sollie Smith" launch. I heard it was good at the coast on Sunday. Me, I went Saturday and got skunked....

Sollie Smith was where I had my 1st high flight. The launch is at 1600' and it's a pretty steep face that you launch from. I have a stinking fear of heights, so it was an act of will to make that 1st launch. I still get nervous when I get much higher than about 400'.
