Looks fun! Though the "beach" at the ditch always scared me enough that I have never tried it 
We'll be there in a couple of weeks...

no oysters, nice beach, the wind was 8 - 15 at N flats while we were doin our thing down at the place. never stop exploring

| Where did you actually launch ? Couple of those pic look like they are before you get in the ditch(ship channel). I have windsurfed up in the ditch but it seems to me it would be too narrow to kite ? Where those pics where taken is a great spot...

there are so many cool spots.....the mouth of southbay is great, longish drive to the beach tho (30min from spi). the spot in these pics is across from turning basin, which is only 5 min from the bridge, launching from downwind side of shipping channel and riding upwind side.
there can be oyster beds around, but not in either of these places, and both of the ones i mention have good beaches and vehicle access.
let me know if y'all want to check them out when the island doesnt have good wind, im happy hit em with anyone.

Awesome day in SPI with the hot southerlies! Waves on the outside were head and a half in the morning. And its 72 out at 8 pm!
