Headed south for the weekend to hang out with the SOKA crew. Had a great time! They are a sweet crowd to share the stoke with.

When we first showed up to the sight on saturday it was blowing like 10 knots - I was so stoked!!! I felt like a newb all excited showing up to sauvies while everyone is sitting around waiting on the wind!! But anyways, the wind did pick up - nicely powered on an 11

The SOKA crew is very welcoming/hospitable - thanks Matty for letting me eat all your food, drink your beer, and crash on your couch Thumb's Up (Oh wait - is Matty's couch a secret spot I shouldn't be sharing with everyone Laughing )

I have some more pics - but I need to finish drying out my gear - I'll post some more later.

PROPS to the poster formerly known as terremoto. Thanks for coming down and getting some snowkite action in. (at least some peeps are figuring it out Idea ) To bad sunday was a complete washout. I'm still getting the water outta my gear. But it looks like last night they got dumped on and the temps are back to freezing.

Your more than welcome to stay anytime, We'll keep the frig stocked full of beer for yer return.

stringer- Those are snowkite specific gloves you get when you put in 100+ hrs in one year. Wink

Nice! Looks like you had a great weekend TPFKAT! I wanted to hit you up and tag along, but I had obligations. Sad BTW, I didn't see a pic of you with your 3m? Very Happy (OK, last dig on that one! )

Its all good NAK - that 3M wouldn't have done me much good unless I weighed about 46 pounds (I think my left leg weighs 45 pounds).

one funny story from this weekend - we were all sitting around matty's place and someone brought up nwkite on the computer to see if anyone had posted some cool pics - sol kiter saw my avatar and said "who the hell is that guy??? I wouldn't want to kite with him!!" - then someone else said - dude, thats him (pointing to me). Guess you kind of had to be there - but everyone got a good laugh out of it.

Here are a couple of more pictures:

Martin, I have skateboad helmet if you want it. You have to wear a helmet on land. Well, you don't have to ....but how much did law school cost?

Does that 45 lbs include your ankle weight? How was it kiting with your ankle weights anyways? It must be difficult walking in the pow pow, huh? Razz

Nice pics; like the one of the mountain top and clouds.

Monkey - hey thanks for the offer on the helmet. In all seriousness - you are right - I do need a helmet on land. I figured this out about half way through my session on saturday - if you look at the picture Sol Flyer posted - eighth from the top - I am flying sideways - I f*cked up a jump and landed face first in the snow and then got dragged by my kite. While i was getting dragged I thought - man, I hope there isn't a log or a rock hiding under this snow with my name on it - cus that would totally suck. So then on sunday I wore my helmet.
