Ok, as I have said before, I'm 6'1". I have big feet. My board, came with foot straps(that suck). In order to be able to use my bootys on my board, I had to remove the foam pad that is under my feet on the board. Has any body else had to do that or just me. If I leave the pads on the board, I would have to go barefoot. I really am not crazy about doing that here in Oregon. Maybe in the summer. How does every body else deal with this issue or does every one have size 8 feet. And yes, my bootys are 3 mm and very thin soles. Soft bottoms. Help.

You shouldn't have to remove the pads... What board and pad/straps are you running again? Most of the newer stuff has adjustments built into the straps that'll go bigger than anyone should ever need.

I have a fanatic 150. 4' 11" long and16.5" wide. The footstraps on it suck. They don't adjust very much. Not anough to have booties on. I have tried every thing. They have a small velcro section and the rest is elastic. It doesn't adjust enough.
Like I said, I had to take the pads off, the pads add like .5 inch under the feet. To use booties, I had to take it off. And even that, it's barely hanging on.

Hmmm. Not familiar with those pads/straps, but I'll take your word for it. If at all possible, get an aftermarket set on there. I don't care how big your feet are, you shouldn't have any problems keeping the pads on with a halfway decent set. Yeah, they're going to cost you a little, but they're there for comfort and a bit of protection when you start landing hard.

I have size 12- 13 depending on .......... anyway , get a pair of kayak socks they are about 3mm . They are way better than the booties , I found . I use them for wakeboarding as well and they fit in my bindings. Gotta have em in the early season when the ice is barely off our lakes ! I have a beanie that the kayakers use as well and it fits under a helmet , keeps me from getting brain freeze . Hope this helps .

Your going to have to figure something out because nobody in the gorge rides without booties. even in the summer, there are only like one or two people that go without booties. They are kind of like gojoe's, just another gorge essential.
Thumb's Up
