Yee Haw! Rodeo kiting at it's finest. Wind was roughly 20 - 25 with lulls to 15 and gusts to near 40. Wind was Southerly to Westerly... Very occasional lulls to 5.
Got there at 2:00 just after a band of rain had passed, so it was sunny and nice out. On the water from about 2:30 to 3:30. That was all I could handle!
The beach is plenty big and wind shadowed enough to protect from the big gusts, yet still open enough to launch.
Not much of a photo, sorry about the poor quality. It does give you an idea of the launch anyway.

| Looks like pretty decent weather considering what its doing now downtown. No kidding on the gusts, its been crazy all day.

Yeah, it was a bit crazy. I kept an eye out for approaching storms though. It was pretty clear while I was riding, I could see a storm coming when I left though. The picture is post session; most of the session the sky was a lot more clear. Mostly sun & blue sky. It was wild enough without the gusts from a CB adding to the fun!
