Your next session should be tomorrow. 4-7 inches tonight. 5 inches yesterday and last night. 9 Meter kite day tomorrow. Loving it!!!! I'm also loving these videos and pictures. I know the rails are gone but I'm hoping the Slider Project left me one to session tomorrow.....

Fri Feb 27, 09 7:14 pmA Big Thank you from Snowkite Soldier
Kite Soldiers saw riders from all over the world descend on Fairfield, ID. The event featured a new kite concept called a Poker Run. With close to 80 registered riders climbing peaks and gathering poker cards, this portion of the event was huge success and received positive rider and spectator feedback. 5 miles from the event site, on top of a mountain, kiters whooped and yelled as they gathered their 5th poker card from Nathan Borer from Northstar Kiteboarding. The boys from Slider Project LLC (Hood River, OR) designed a rail park that was the first snowkite terrain park of its kind. Rails were strewn across the valley floor and made use of the natural terrain. Some rails were 10 feet high and others were positioned on top of 20 foot cornice drops. The park designers put a lot of energy, time and forethought into the construction and placement of the park. Riders could be seen hitting these rails into the sunset with camera flashes through dusk. Naish, Ozone, Slingshot and Best kite companies were here to demo out the latest snowkite products on the market. Riders stepped through the 65 foot Red Bull Archway and grabbed free Red Bulls and Honey Milk energy drinks below the giant Red Bull tent. With music blasting on the P.A. and hundreds of kites in the sky, the weekend was a resounding success and after Saturday nights blow out kite party, with over $10,000 in giveaways and free beer and live music, courtesy of Naish Kites, anyone who attended this event, now understands why Idaho is the best snowkite location in the country. Trisha and I had so much fun planning this event and want to thank everyone who attended and offered any help/muscles to make this happen. A HUGE thank you goes out to Felix, Pam, Malissa, Jen, Chad, Dave, Derek, Emma, Lauren, Aaron Beck and Mark Westerhall , our EMT, for all their hard work and help. We paid them off with Beers and Swag but no words could possibly convey our appreciation for all their amazing support! We’d also like to thank our Headline Sponsors... Ecopromo.com/Promo Shop for the T-shirts, perfect custom awards and kick ass recycled Bags. Another huge thank you to Red Bull for making this event look like an event and Naish Kites for jumping on board from the beginning and helping us throw down a raging party on Saturday night. Thank you to Ozone/Windzup for the PA system, tent and hard work, Head U.S.A. for donating the best snowkite gloves we’ve ever worn and giving us some huge headliner awards like Mojo Skis, a snowboard and bindings. TREW GEAR, Slingshot, Ozone, Naish, Best, Dakine and Ken Lucas (Snowaffair) also donated some great products for the raffle and Poker Run awards. We have to say, we had a blast handing them out and appreciate all of your support. We hope to see everyone next year for another epic adventure.
-Monty & Trisha
We wanted to share with you the footage from the Plum TV bit that aired yesterday morning in Sun Valley. It will air again over the next couple of weeks and is syndicated nationally on other Plum TV channels.

Monty,
Way to go. I'm stoked to see your effort pay off. Holding events like this is how we get the sport to grow. And the more it grows, the better it gets. Its cool to see the slider crew show up and mix it up with the old schoolers.
Also nice job with media. That TV crew did a good job showing our sport and hopefully it turns a lot if people onto snowkiting and your killer spot.
